During her internship she had the opportunity to receive training from Pr. Noël on the various electrophysiological techniques, now essential in the diagnosis of the various neurological pathologies and requiring strong theoretical and practical foundations.

Once graduated as doctor specialised in neurology, she practiced within the neurology department of the C.H.U. Saint-Pierre for many years where she enhanced and enriched her human and professional experience.

Moreover, Dr TADJER is an acknowledged expert in multiple sclerosis by the INAMI and a member of the Fondation Charcot. She is also an expert consultant in neurology and electrophysiology.

Furthermore, she is in charge of the neurological semiology lecture at ETMA.

In addition, Dr TADJER speaks fluent French, English and Arabic.

She is currently a consultant within the CHIREC network and in her private rooms located close to quartier Louise as part of a multidisciplinary team (Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, Neuropsychology and Physiotherapy), Encefalo Med.

NEUROPHYSIOLOGY CLINICAL/EXPLORATION

Dr TADJER Souhila – Encefalo Med

Technical innovations opened the door to the implementation of new weapons in the diagnosis of many neurological pathologies.

EEG: An electroencephalogram is a test that records the brain electric activity through the positioning of electrodes on the skull. This technique is used to record a number of disorders such as:

  1. Epilepsy

  2. Concussion

  3. Consciousness disorders

Evoked potentials: allow to record the brain electrical activity following visual, auditive or sensory stimulation. They are used in the following cases:

  1. Optic neuritis or multiple sclerosis

  2. Peripheral and central auditory disorders

  3. Myelopathies

The magnetic stimulation studies the brain and spinal cord motor pathways:

  1. Multiple sclerosis

  2. Cervical arthritis and other myelopathies

Electromyography (EMG/VC) enabling the recording of the peripheral nerve roots and trunks as well as the muscles:

  1. Sciatica

  2. Myasthenia

  3. Facial palsy (Blink reflex)

  4. Carpal tunnel

  5. Polyneuropathy

MS

Dr TADJER Souhila – Encefalo Med

MS, what is it?

Inflammatory disease of the central nervous system (spinal cord and brain).

Its diagnosis meets very specific criteria.

When a MS diagnosis is established, the neurologist may implement a basic treatment, a treatment specific to the crisis or to the symptoms according to the progress and the clinical exam.

PARKINSON

Dr TADJER Souhila – Encefalo Med

Parkinson’s disease is a neuro-degenerative disease (progressive deterioration of some neurons in the base ganglia).

The diagnosis is often made during the consultation.

A treatment is then implemented to make the symptoms disappear or improve before being monitored and tuned by the neurologist.

EPILEPSY

Dr TADJER Souhila – Encefalo Med

It is a discharge of the brain neurons that take different faces:

  • Loss of consciousness

  • Convulsions

  • Fainting

  • Memory disorders

  • Transitory confusion

ATTENTION AND HYPERACTIVITY DISORDERS IN YOUNG ADULTS

Dr TADJER Souhila – Encefalo Med

Attention and hyperactivity disorders may represent a heavy handicap in daily life.

MEMORY DISORDERS

Dr TADJER Souhila – Encefalo Med

Recurrent memory troubles impacting the daily life such as Alzheimer’s disease is most often noticed by relatives.

After performing a clinical exam, further tests including a neuropsychological test are requested.

BOTULINIC TOXIN

Dr TADJER Souhila – Encefalo Med

Botulinic toxin is indicated in the following cases:

  1. Dystonia

  2. Blepharospasms

  3. Writer’s cramp
